Me thinks you are over thinking the reality of the game. Keep the debri field a even percentage straight across. maybe like 60%. (for the group of newbies who won) against a bigger guy a debri field that's 60% of a armada will go a long way. And that is there reward for banning together and kicking some bully-butt.
but 60% of a little fleet is hardly worth it for the bigger guy who randomly attacks smaller players to tick people off. So more then likely the smaller guy who lost can build a recycle ship and start collecting the debri.
